What is everyone's predictions for the finals? I would love to see Lakers/Celtics in the final again. Lakers will make the west but the east is still up for grabs between Cavs and Celtics.

Celtics have showed way too much weakness this season and could easily come a cropper against the Cavs. The difference between the Lakers and the Celtics is I think the Lakers are well capable of winning in Cleveland, I don't think Boston are. If the Cavs continue their pretty stunning home form, they will be hard to stop. With all due respect to Boston, I even reckon they will find it difficult to turn it around against Chicago. The Bulls are more than capable on their day and taking a 1-0 lead in the series in Boston is pretty huge for them. You can't lose to the Bulls at home and be considered serious NBA champion contenders. Lakers/Cavs for all the glory looks certain to me.

Celtics are missing Garnett. When you look at the Celtics lineup it just looks ridiculous with Marbury, Garnett, Pierce, Allen and even Rondo now. But they seem to be slipping a bit. I'd have to agree with you with the Cavs making the final, but I think Celtics will fight. Lakers to take the gold then?

Well, they are the only team to win a competitive match in Cleveland this season (I'm not including Philly's win in the last game of the regular season). I reckon they can do it again and I also reckon Cleveland will struggle to make a dent at the Staples Center. They lost 105-88 there earlier in the season and lost 101-91 at home to the Lakers. They find the Lakers difficult to play against and they aren't the best road team either. Their home form will have to be rock solid. If it isn't, it's game over.
Again, Boston...only beating the Bulls by 3. They will struggle in Chicago, mark my words.

A lot of the Boston players are getting a bit older and probably realise this is the best oppurtunity to win (another) title. They are going to play psycho over there to try and get there. Boston will get through Chicago, it might not be easy, but they will get there. Philly beat Orlando in the first game as well, but I think Orlando will end up going through them. Is there anyone else in the west that could give trouble to the lakers? I didn't watch the regular season all that closely.

Well, Utah is always a difficult place to win at. But they don't have a hope in hell of winning in LA, so even if they win their 3 homes games they still don't really have a prayer.
Denver look like the most improved team recently in the form book, but that's pretty deceiving, as they have just taken advantage of the teams with nothing to play for. They could give the Lakers the most trouble though, but again...I feel they will find it difficult at the Stapes Center and LA are more than capable of winning in Denver.
Portland faces the same problems. Great at home, 2-0 at home against the Lakers this season, but pretty poor travelers and an 81-108 defeat at home by Houston in their first match is not a good sign. Houston have lost all 4 they have played against the Lakers this season, so winning 4 of 7 will be seriously difficult for them.
Dallas also haven't beaten the Lakers in 3 attempts this season and they are painfully inconsistent.
In summary...I think they only have one team to fear - Cleveland.

Spurs just evened it up with Dallas. Parker played brilliantly apparently with 38 points. Spurs have always been fairly consistent, but they look a bit weak with Ginobili out. How long is he gone for?

I seriously think the Bulls have a legit chance to win the series against the Celtics given how close both games where IN Boston. The Magic should rebound after a disappointing lost to the 76ers.

I don't think the bulls would be able to keep it up though. The series might well go to seven games, but I can't see the Bulls getting over the top of them. If they do then good on them.

Says it all that most bookmakers are giving Boston a 2 point start in the handicap in Chicago tomorrow. The Bulls really have them on the ropes and can punish them.
Also, expect Denver to crush New Orleans again tonight. I see no obvious reason why they shouldn't, as the Hornets have really lost all form recently.

I'm really disappointed in how the Magic-Sixers series is going. It's appearent that the Magic still doesn't have the proper mentality to be a championship contender. The Sixers came into the playoffs on a seven game losing streak, yet they're up 2-1. It's a choke job for the Magic so far and they better wake up fast.

Damn, Bulls looked horrible at home, looks like that might be the end of that. The Magic are REALLY disappointing right now. Mavs are giving the Spurs a run for their money, Mavs might be able to close out the Spurs back in San Antonio.

Mavs 3-1 up now, I can't see the Spurs coming back to win the series. Dallas most likely go on to play Denver, they are 2-1 up at the moment. Who does everyone see going through in that series?

Bulls have tied it up 2-2. Cavs have gone through as well now. Most of the series are actually pretty even at the moment.

Yep. Lakers should finish off Utah today. Expect Denver to get the better of New Orleans and Miami dished out a real crushing defeat to Atlanta the other day. Should be closer today, but still a Miami win. That's what me thinks anyways.
