Does wherever you live have it? WA is having a referendum on it tomorrow. I will be voting for it, but I don't think it will pass because us West Australians are inherently conservative for some reason and hate to change things around. Thoughts on Daylight Savings?

It annoys me because there is no need to have light so early and darkness so bloody early. I don't see what it does apart from maybe prevent a few early morning road traffic accidents.

I just deposited my yes vote. I wanted to lock up all the old people there because I know they are going to be cunts and vote no.

Light early and darkness early? Do you mean darkness earlier and light later?

No no. When they move the clocks back to apparently save daylight, it gets lighter earlier in the morning and darker earlier. It gets dark around 3:30pm during the daylight saving period at the peak of winter. That is simply too early for darkness.

Well this was to put the clocks forward an hour during Summer to have an extra hour of daylight at the end of the day.

Isn't it for farming reasons? Maybe tractors work better in the morning. My ignorance knows no bounds.

To me, the only thing it's good for it picking two days of the year that people can show up late or early with the excuse "we forgot to change our clocks".

Over here the farmers HATE daylight savings. They believe that if we push the clocks forward an extra hour then the cows will get confused as to when they have to be milked.

And I suppose if they were milked an hour later, they would miss Neighbours. Yeh, I wouldn't be best pleased about that either.

Most of the farmers here are actually Eastenders fans, if nothing else is on then they will watch Coronation Street.

For us the earliest is 5:30 which is a tad bit early. Yeah you guys don't need to turn the clocks back that early. That's dumb.
