A little bit off topic, but I figure this is a good as place as any to discuss. If given enough money for either, which would you choose? I don't care for Vista much and if given the oppurtunity to have a free Macbook I think I would take it. They just look so cool.

I have a Macbook from 2006. It's broken at the moment unfortunately. Hard drive failed for the second times since I got it. Also, it's so damn hot when it's running. Apple must be the only company to advise you not to put your laptop on your lap for fear of fried nuts.

My Acer is getting quite hot these days. My house doesn't need a heater when I have my laptop on, the hot air this blows out rivals the hot air from my mouth and er...yeah. The new aluminium Macbook looks sweet. Pricy, but sweet.

Yeh, it really does. I find it interesting the black version of the Macbook cost about £100 more than the white one when I was looking to buy one back in 2006. Computerised racism that is.

I wanted a black one when I was looking the other day. They don't make them anymore, who would have thought? Bit unfortunate because they did look quite nice. I've since been looking at some Dells, the studios look good. The slot load DVD drive looks sweet, much more cooler than your run of the mill DVD drives.

My Asus is the greatest thing ever. I got it for my 21st bday and I'm forever indebted to my grandparents for buying it for me. It runs so fucking well.

Wow, everyone misinterpreted everyone there. Good times. The Sonys look pretty good as well, again they are too expensive though. Why can't things be cheap?

If given enough money, I'd go with the Macbook just because it'd be something new to experience and try out. A buddy of mines had Vista and I wasn't impressed at all with it. I'm still on XP.

All you can get these days is Vista unfortunately. Some systems are able to downgrade to XP though. I think the general concensus has been FAIL for Vista.
